Approximately one in every five adults¹ has sleep-disordered breathing (SDB).
In the USA, that's more than 43 million people.
Up to 80% of these are unaware of their condition and remain undiagnosed and untreated.
SDB is linked with many leading health concerns of developed countries, including:
- Hypertension
- Cardiovascular disease
- Stroke
- Obesity
- Type 2 diabetes
SDB has also been linked with a higher risk of surgical complications, and increased hospital stays.
An expanding body of scientific evidence clearly indicates that SDB has a profound negative impact on public health.
We are committed to working with the medical community to:
- Increase awareness of the dangers of untreated SDB
- Support ongoing research into the correlation of SDB with other health risks
- Find effective clinical solutions to improve the health and lives of SDB patients
